Social media for internet marketers is about to be taken by storm. The new big dog to help us network, gain traffic and exposure is Serpd. What is a serp you ask? In its basic form, it is an acronym for Search Engine Results Page. Our blogs and websites holy grail. We all know that ranking high on the search pages help bring us more traffic and in turn more money. So what have the developers of Serpd done for the community? Let’s take a look at what they are offering….for free. From their homepage:
“SERPd is a unique name and people will wonder what it means. Well SERPd serves the SEO and internet marketing community. SERP stands for Search Engine Results Page. Anyone working on the web is impacted highly by the SERPs, which led us to think that our community may as well reflect that. By turning the term SERP into an action (SERPd), we express our desire to serve the SEO & internet marketing community. We want you to share, comment, vote, and participate on our site, we want you to SERPd things!“
Unlike Digg or Sphinn, this social network is geared specifically for those of us in SEO, SEM and any form of internet marketing. Only in Beta testing right now, I urge you to check out the site. Submit your stories, interact with other marketers, vote, begin Serping! So, why you ask? Targeted traffic. Serpd is not full of mish mashed postings and spammy buy now buy now articles. This is a top notch social marketing structure designed to help all of us, from newbie to seasoned pros gain more exposure in the marketing sphere. Let’s face it, we can all handle more traffic right?
Grab a widget code for your blogs and allow your visitors the opportunity to serpd your post. I am going to do a follow up post to this one to show you exactly how to put the Serpd badge below each of your posts if you are running a Blogger hosted blog. you simply must get one of these cool badges. I am easily amused by colorful stuff!!
Now, you may be saying, “really? another social media site?” If you are saying that, you may be getting frustrated with all the work it takes to get your site noticed. Pick yourself up, go see what Serpd.com is all about and I promise you, they will help you get some motivation back.
Lisa,
Thanks so much for writing such informative posts. (I found my way over here from your article on Blokube when I saw it on Networked blogs on Facebook.) If it weren’t for bloggers like you who share valuable information like this, I would miss so many opportunities! This is extremely valuable info and I wanted to take the time to thank you. I just joined SERPd and now I’m going back to your Blokube post to see what that’s about.
I love when you visit Sherryl! So uplifting!
all the best,
Lisa
I joined SERPd recently after seeing the logo at the sharebar in Ana’s site. Ya I start to get decent traffic from SERPd. More than traffic I somehow feel very prestigious to have my blog post at SERPd.
Jane.
Good for you Jane! serpd is a great place and I have seen your posts there….well done!
all the best.
Lisa
